January 10: He said, “What is going on between us??”

Selene and I drove from Raleigh NC to Columbus OH yesterday, CURE 2026 bound.

And as usual, I was road trip vibing.

Snacks packed. Dungeon Crawler Carl, Book 1 queued (I’ve read it, but Selene hasn’t, so we’re listening). Adventure ahead.

And we made it. Exhausted. Met people, chatted, ate, and FELL OUT.

I woke up this morning refreshed and happy.

This weekend I get to do one of my favorite things:

Teach amazing humans more about themselves and their connections.

Which brings me to something I saw yesterday while on the road…

A guy posted this:

“I just see a war between men and women and the beliefs that separate us.
This honestly has me so damn hopeless as I do plan on getting back into the dating scene when I heal. What is going on between us??

😅😥😓”

Oof. My heart.

Because I know that guy. Maybe you know that guy. Hell, maybe you are that guy.

And I had to respond:

Hey there.

I work with a lot of men like you. Good-hearted. Wanting connection. Getting served gender-war red-pilled nonsense.

It's so frustrating how it can seep in.

Here's the thing, though: You can learn from this.

You don’t have to pick a side in some made-up war.

You just have to pay attention.

What are women experiencing out there?

What is the dating world like from their perspective?

Because the bar is so low, it’s basically a tavern in Hades—and yet there are still guys managing to limbo under it.

You? You just need to learn how to communicate the goodness that’s already in you.

That’s what I teach.

It’s not about tricks. It’s about clarity.

It’s about showing up SELF-ishly—your best, truest self—and making real, meaningful connections.
