October 23: Far from 365. Farther from zero.

On April 7 of last year, I made myself a promise:

Write and share every day.

I’d done it for years, all through the pandemic and long before that.

Then I had my surgeries, and I stopped.

I took time to heal, to write a few books, to really reset.

And I missed it.

I missed how writing about something (anything) every day made me think.

I missed connecting with people around the world over ideas, and all the different opinions that came back to me.

And honestly?

I love meeting new clients through the way I think.

Through my authenticity.

So I wrote.

Every day.

Even while traveling.

Even on vacation.

Then I backed off a bit, because this goal is supposed to make my life better, not hand me one more thing I HAVE to do.

Now I write mostly every weekday.

One year ago today, I started my (mostly) daily podcast, simply recording what I write and sharing it.

In one year, I’ve published 216 short-form episodes.

That’s far from 365.

But it’s a hell of a lot farther from zero.

I’ve also started posting my writing and audio on other sites, not just sending it to my email list.

And it feels good to connect in those spaces as well.

I’ve been planning this anniversary post for a while.

It felt like a big deal.

Then on Wednesday, I took the day off.

For no obvious reason.

I just didn’t feel like writing.

Thursday, I wrote again.

And that’s when it hit me that the anniversary isn’t the big deal.

The big deal is that skipping Wednesday didn’t end anything.

It didn’t throw a wrench in the works.

I didn’t have to “start over.”

I just picked back up the next day, the way I’ve been doing, growing, and adding to it for 564 days now.

If I can do that, I can literally do anything.

And if I can do that, you can, too.

So what do YOU want to do?

Picture a daily practice for your love life.

Five minutes of real curiosity with your partner.

A daily flirt.

A few minutes writing down what you actually want, instead of what you think you’re supposed to want.

How could that change your love, your sex, your relationships, your life?

And what if missing a day didn’t mean failing?

If there’s something you want to build and you’d like help figuring out what your daily practice looks like, book a free 15-minute Big Ask consultation with me.

We’ll name what you want, find the smallest version you can actually do tomorrow, and plan for the days you don’t feel like it.

Because those days are coming.

P.S. What’s one thing you used to do every day and miss? Or one thing you’d start tomorrow if you knew a skipped day wouldn’t ruin it?

Hit reply and tell me. I read every answer.
