June 19: Walk with me. (Also, there's coaching involved.)

It's pouring rain here this morning.

(Thankfully! We need it.)

Has been since before I woke up, and honestly, the sound of it made every part of me want to stay in bed with a book and pretend adulty things weren't today.

I didn't.

Because they are. And because today's message matters.

Yesterday, I signed up for Strides for Pride.

It’s a challenge to log 40 minutes of activity every day for one week to raise money for LGBTQ+ youth at Covenant House.

And here's the thing: I work at a treadmill desk most days.

It's how my AuDHD brain stays regulated enough to think, write, move, and not completely lose my mind.

So when I heard about this, my reaction was pretty much: "I'm literally already doing this. I might as well make it mean something."

Here's why this cause matters to me.

40% of young people experiencing homelessness in the US identify as LGBTQ+.

They're 120% more likely to face homelessness than their non-LGBTQ+ peers—often because of rejection, judgment, and stigma around who they are.

I’ve been transient, and I’ve been an LGBTQ+ youth.

I was more fortunate than many but if I weren’t, I would have hoped someplace like Covenant House would have been there for me.

Covenant House provides food, shelter, healthcare, education, and something a lot of these kids haven't had nearly enough of: being genuinely welcomed and celebrated.

That's worth walking for.

Now.

40 minutes also happens to be the length of a really solid coaching session.

So here's what I'm doing:

Donate $40 to my Strides for Pride fundraiser, and I will walk and talk with you for 40 minutes during the week of June 22–28.

We can talk about whatever you need: dating, relationships, a situation you've been sitting with, where to even start.

I'll be on my treadmill.

You'll be wherever you are.

It'll be great.

I have a limited number of spots each weekday, one Saturday, one Sunday. If you want one, don't wait.

👉 Donate here: https://www.covenanthouseevents.org/participants/Nookie

Then message me to grab your spot.

And if $40 isn't in the cards for you right now?

Donate whatever you can.

Even $5 matters.

Send me proof of ANY donation and I'll answer at least one of your burning questions by email—or I'll send you something sweet.

Because showing up counts, whatever size it comes in.

Walk with me.

Help some kids.

Get some coaching.

That's a lot of good.

P.S. Have you ever done something good for someone else and ended up feeling like you got the better end of the deal? That's what I'm expecting from this week.

Hit reply and tell me: When's the last time doing something kind actually gave you something back?
