March 26: Your relationship is your legacy. (Are you building one?)
People often think success in relationships comes from effort.
And sure, effort matters, but you can put in enormous effort and still end up alone, hurt, or starting over.
And sometimes we barely try and somehow get a reward for it. Which really messes with our worldview.
Dumb luck is real.
Timing is real.
But a great relationship? That's a legacy.
It's not one big effort. It’s tiny little bits of effort, every day, that add up over time.
You might know that I mostly work with men.
For nearly two years, all of my active clients were men navigating dating, or figuring out what they actually wanted, or doing their part to improve theirrelationship(s).
Then, about three months ago, something shifted.
Couples started reaching out.
One. Then another.
Now I'm in conversations with three more (is there something in the water, LOL).
Couples who want to actively build something together. Who want skills, accountability, and someone outside the relationship to help them stay focused on their priorities.
Who want love, sex, romance, kink…or more, as I like to say.
And I am LOVINGhelping people improve their relationship legacies.
In my book Take No Sh*t! (4.8 stars on Amazon!), I write:
"When you set boundaries on your time, and make the time choices most likely to deepen and enlarge your positive moments in your various relationships, you show yourself (and others) what is really important to you."
So I'll ask you directly: what do you do to add to your relationship in positive ways, every single day?
Not the grand gestures. The daily ones. How are you building your legacy?
Because building something real usually starts with getting your priorities and your boundaries straight.
And that's exactly what Take No Sh*t! is about.
I’ve been teasing about a change coming. Here’s a small taste:
